Jake Bailey was drafted by the New England Patriots in the fifth round (163rd overall) in the 2019 NFL Draft. In his rookie season, he played in all 16 regular-season games and finished with 81 punts for 3,638 yards (44.9 average, 41.3 net average). As a rookie, he was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week twice and made Patriots franchise history by placing 36 punts inside the 20-yard line. Following his first season in the NFL, Jake returned to the classroom at Stanford University to finish his degree in science, technology, and society.
In 2020, Jake set the single-season Patriots record when he averaged 45.6 net yards. In his second season as a Patriot, he had a career long of 71 yards and landed 31 punts inside the 20-yard line. Jake was named to 2020 Pro Bowl and to the 2020 All-Pro first team, making him the first Patriots punter to do so.
Off the field, Jake enjoys networking with Stanford alumni, educating himself about investments and real estate ventures, and playing golf.
