2021 Women's Empowerment Scholarship Recipient

Katherine Li

Katherine did not walk – she ran out of her comfort zone and toward her passion for leadership. She has been a longtime active member of the Longmeadow Red Cross Club (LRCC), climbing the ranks from volunteer all the way to chapter VP, and is currently the President and Massachusetts Field Ambassador. Her work with the LRCC empowers her to feel confident in herself and her contributions to the community.

Katherine juggled keeping up a 5.1 GPA with volunteering as a cello instructor and accompaniment for the Suzuki Talent Education Partnership, a Spanish tutor, and figure skating instructor. She is also a decorated figure skater, becoming a national bronze medalist in 2019.

Katherine hopes to keep growing as an impactful leader and confident woman. In the fall, Katherine will be attending Wellesley College to study sociology and social work, which she believes will allow her to foster future generations of empowered female leaders by helping women discover the power of their potential.

We are so happy to award Katherine a $1,500 scholarship to make this dream a reality!
