Kylie proved to be an active leader in the Monson High School community, in and out of the classroom. She participated in the Student Council and was invited to join the National Honor Society, an accomplishment she is particularly proud of. Kylie is a recipient of the President’s Education Award for Outstanding Achievement and the Jane Piscioneri Courage to Succeed Award. Outside the classroom, Kylie balanced playing basketball, cross country, track & field, and soccer with her involvement in the Salvation Army and Monson Rotary Club.
Kylie has shown a demonstrated interest in improving the lives of others. She has volunteered with the Special Olympics since 2014, participated in a mission trip to Navajo Mountain with Monson non-profit Nomads of Hope, and has volunteered for trash pickups and local breakfast with Santa events.
Kylie has ambitions to follow in the footsteps of her mother, a proud female law enforcement officer. Watching her mother take the male-dominated criminal justice field by storm inspired Kylie to follow in her footsteps, carrying out the generational legacy of strong, compassionate women in her family. As a criminal justice professional and future leader in her field, Kylie hopes to use her education to empower and support women on their journey to overcome life’s obstacles while inspiring other women to challenge the stereotypical gender roles in law enforcement. In the fall, she will be attending Westfield State University to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice, the first step on her path toward her dream.
Congratulations, Kylie! We are pleased to award you a $500 scholarship!
