NO PURCHASE OR CONTRIBUTION NECESSARY TO PARTICIPATE. VOID IN ALABAMA, HAWAII, UTAH, AND WHERE OTHERWISE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW.

GENERAL

The Women's Empowerment Scholarship Raffle ("Giveaway" will begin Friday, November 8, 2024 at 12:00:01 a.m. Eastern Time ("ET") and will end on Saturday, December 1, 2024 at 11:00:01 a.m ET. (“Giveway Period”).  Before participating in the Giveaway, each entrant must review and agree to be bound by the Giveaway’s Official Rules as set out below. By entering the Giveaway, entrants accept and agree to be bound by the Official Rules, and accept the decisions of Sponsor as final and binding in all respects.

SPONSOR

Giveaway is sponsored by The Women's Empowerment Scholarship, and is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. All communication with respect to the Giveaway, including requests to be removed from future promotions, should be emailed to Sponsor at admin@womensempowermentscholarship.org with a reference to this Giveaway in the subject line or body of the email. 

ELIGIBILITY

The Giveaway is void where prohibited or restricted by law. The Giveaway is available and open to all legal United States residents (EXCEPT residents of Alabama, Hawaii and Utah) who are at least the age of majority in their state of residence as of December 3, 2024, and who have a valid email address and phone number.  The Giveaway is not open to the following persons: employees, agents or representatives of Sponsor, the subsidiaries and affiliates of Sponsor, or employees, agents or representatives of suppliers providing prizes or other materials or services in connection with the Giveaway, including promotional agencies (collectively, the “Excluded Individuals”); immediate household family members (parent, child, sibling and spouses of each) of the Excluded Individuals; and any other persons with whom the Excluded Individuals reside.

HOW TO ENTER

Entrants automatically entered by making a contribution to Sponsor at womensempowermentscholarship.org (“Website”) during the Giveaway Period (“Automatic Entry”).  The number of entries an Entrant receives in the Giveaway through an Automatic Entry is based on the amount of the contribution made to Sponsor as listed below.  Multiple Automatic Entries from the same Entrant, as determined in the sole discretion of Sponsor, shall be aggregated to determine the total number of entries received.

To enter the Giveaway without making a donation, send a post card with Entrant’s name, address, email address and phone number to P.O. Box 380, Monson, MA 01057 (“Mail-in Entry”).  Mail-in Entries must be postmarked by November 20, 2023, and received by the end of the Giveaway Period.  Entrants will receive five (5) entries into the Giveaway for each Mail-in Entry.  Entrants may send multiple Mail-in Entries during the Giveaway Period to receive up to the maximum number of entries allowed during the Giveaway Period. Maximum 2,200 entries per transaction through Automatic Entry or per person through Mail-in Entry during the Giveaway Period.  Entrants must provide all information requested at the Website or required by these Rules for a Mail-in Entry in order to participate in the Giveaway.  No contribution or purchase necessary to participate in the Giveaway. Void in Alabama, Hawaii and Utah and where otherwise prohibited by law. All entries become property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. Use of automated devices is not valid for entry. Sponsor is not responsible for any computer malfunctions, website tampering or any technical difficulties that may occur.  Sponsor’s computer is the official timekeeper for the Giveaway.

PRIZES

One (1) Grand Prize Winner will receive two (2) tickets to the basketball game scheduled for Januarty 17, 2025 between the Boston Celtics and the Orlando Magic in Boston, MA with an approximate retail value ("ARV") of $1,000. Travel to and from the game is the sole responsibility of the Grand Prize Winner.

Prizes are awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied by Sponsor.  Game tickets are date specific and the winners must be available on the dates specified.  If a winner is not available on the specified dates, winner will be disqualified and Sponsor reserve the right to choose an alternate prize winner.  Sponsor is not responsible for the cancellation or rescheduling of game and no substitution or compensation shall be awarded.  Sponsor reserves the right not to award a prize associated with the canceled game, without any payment or obligation to the winner or potential winner.  Game tickets are subject to certain terms and conditions which a winner is responsible for complying with.  Location of seats and tickets are in Sponsor’s sole discretion or may be predetermined as supplied by Sponsor.

Winners may not substitute, assign or transfer prize or redeem prize for cash.  Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute a prize (or portion thereof) with one of comparable or greater value. Sponsor also reserves the right to add additional prizes to the Giveaway.   All applicable federal, state, local and other taxes and all other expenses not specifically mentioned herein are the sole responsibility of the individual winners. Sponsor is not responsible for any taxes or expenses not specifically mentioned herein. Winners will be issued a Form 1099 and shall be responsible for any tax liability.

ODDS OF WINNING

The overall approximate odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Giveaway Period and before the specified drawing deadlines.

DRAWING DATES/DEADLINE

Prize Drawings from all eligible entries received during the Giveaway Period will be held on or about Friday, November 30, 2024.  Grand Prize Drawing will be first, followed by any additional drawings for additonal prizes.  All decisions made by Sponsor regarding the Giveaway are made in Sponsor’s sole discretion and are final in all respects.  Sponsor will notify a potential winner by email as soon as possible after the drawing.  Sponsor may, in its discretion, confirm with a winner by telephone. Only one attempt to contact a potential winner will be made.  In the event Sponsor is unable to contact a potential winner, such winner’s prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner may be chosen by Sponsor. The email notification will include a copy of a Release and Eligibility Agreement (“Claim Form”), and other information required to claim the prize. The completed Claim Form must be received by Sponsor within twenty-four (24) hours of attempted notification (“Submission Deadline”). Notification shall be deemed to occur when the email notification is sent from Sponsor’s computer to a potential winner’s email address provided during the entry process. All completed Claim Forms become the property of Sponsor. All Claim Forms will be verified by Sponsor. In order to claim a prize, a potential winner must complete the Claim Form which includes representations of eligibility, compliance and releases of liability, and a publicity release. Among other things, the submission of the Claim Form confirms compliance with these rules, acceptance of the prize as awarded and release of certain parties from any losses, liabilities, damages or claims arising from or related to the prize awarded and the Sweepstakes itself. If a potential winner fails to submit the Claim Form with all information required by the Submission Deadline, Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify a potential winner, and Sponsor shall be fully and completely released and discharged from any liability or responsibility in this regard. A potential winner must prove he or she is the qualified winner by presenting identification acceptable to Sponsor (e.g., state driver’s license; state issued identification card; valid passport with address verification; or birth certificate with social security card and photo identification and address verification). If a winner cannot prove he or she is the qualified winner, the prize will not be awarded. If a winner declines the prize, another winner may be selected from the eligible entries received.

CONDITIONS AND RELEASE

By participating in the Giveaway, each Entrant agrees: (a) to abide by these rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which shall be final and binding in all respects; (b) to comply with the terms and conditions of use for Facebook, Instagram or Twitter at all times and in all respects; (c) to release and hold harmless Facebook, Instagram or Twitter, Sponsor, its subsidiaries and affiliates of Sponsor and the franchisees and affiliated merchants of each of the foregoing, all prize suppliers, all agents or representatives of the foregoing, including without limitation their advertising and promotional agencies, and each of their respective officers, directors and employees (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, liability, loss or damage whatsoever arising with respect to the Giveaway or the awarding, receipt, possession and/or use or misuse of any Giveaway prize and further acknowledges that none of the foregoing persons have made nor are responsible or liable for any warranty, representation or guarantee a particular purpose thereof; and (d) to consent to the use of his or her name, image, voice, likeness, city and state of residence and/or photographs without compensation in any publicity or advertising carried out in any medium worldwide by Sponsor and/or its advertising or promotional agencies without limitation or further notification, and without providing compensation or intellectual property rights to the Entrant, except where prohibited.  Prizes awarded may carry their own terms and conditions and product warranty, for which the Released Parties have no responsibility of liability.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these official rules and the decision of Sponsor and waive any right to claim ambiguity in the Giveaway or these Official Rules.  Entries that are incomplete, mutilated, altered, reproduced, forged, counterfeited or irregular in any way are automatically void. The Released Parties are not responsible for the following: (a) lost, late, delayed, illegible, inaudible, stolen, damaged, altered, destroyed, mutilated, misdirected, illegal, incomplete or postage due rule requests, entries or prize claims; (b) lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone or cable transmissions, lines or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software typographical, mechanical, telephonic, electronic or network relating to or in connection with this Giveaway, including, without limitation, errors which may occur in connection with the administration of the Giveaway, the processing of entries, the announcement of the prizes, or in any Giveaway-related materials; or any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by site users, tampering, hacking or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Giveaway.

Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, suspend, terminate or modify the Giveaway if the Giveaway is not capable of being completed as planned for whatever reason.  Sponsor may prohibit or disqualify an entrant from participating in the Giveaway or winning the prize if, at its sole discretion, it determines that said entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Giveaway by cheating, deception or unfair playing practices or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrants or Sponsor representatives. Any person attempting to defraud or in any way tamper with the Giveaway will be ineligible to participate in the Giveaway and may be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.  No correspondence will be entered into except with Entrants selected a potential winner.

By entering the Giveaway and voluntarily providing personal information as described in these Official Rules, Entrant agrees to the collection and use of Entrant’s personal information by Sponsor and its representatives, promotional agencies and marketing organization for the purpose of administering the Giveaway, including without limitation contacting entrants in the respect of the Giveaway and disclosing the list of winners.  Entrants’ personal information may be used for future promotions and solicitations of Sponsor, its affiliates, representatives, and promotional agencies but will not be used for any other purpose nor will it otherwise be disclosed to third parties, unless otherwise required by law

This Giveaway and the terms and conditions contained in these Official Rules shall be exclusively governed and constructed in accordance with the laws of the State of Massachusetts and the federal laws of the United States of America applicable therein. Any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Giveaway shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by final and binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association in the State of Massachusetts.

This Giveaway is subject to all applicable federal, state, local laws and regulations.  Void where prohibited or restricted by law.If any one or more provisions of these rules are held to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity, illegality or unenforceability shall not affect the validity, effect or enforcement of any other provision or provisions of these rules.

WINNERS LIST

For the names of the winners, email Sponsor before December 15, 2024, at admin@womensempowermentscholarship.org with a reference to this Giveaway and requesting a winners list in the subject line or body of the email.

FORCE MAJEURE

Sponsor reserves the right, without prior notice and at any time, to terminate the Giveaway, in whole or in part, or modify or suspend the Giveaway, or any portion thereof, in any way, if it determines, in its sole discretion, that the Giveaway is impaired or corrupted or that fraud, breach of confidentiality, or technical problems, failures or malfunctions have destroyed or severely undermined the integrity and/or feasibility of the Giveaway. In the event Sponsor is prevented from continuing with the Giveaway as contemplated herein by any event beyond its control, including but not limited to fire, flood, natural or man-made epidemic of health or other means, earthquake, explosion, labor dispute or strike, act of God or public enemy, satellite or equipment failure, riot or civil disturbance, terrorist threat or activity, war (declared or undeclared) or any federal, state or local government law, order, or regulation, public health crisis, order of any court or jurisdiction, or other cause not reasonably within Sponsor’s control (each a “Force Majeure” event or occurrence), then subject to any governmental approval which may be required, Sponsor shall have the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Giveaway.
